About the GRK

The Gozan Reiki Kyokai is a vibrant school of Reiki that holds its roots in the original system of Mikao Usui, while reaching into the modern era to spread this system as effectively and thoroughly as possible.

The GRK teaches not only the more modern, and more “Western” version of Reiki – but also the traditional Japanese system as originally taught and practiced by the founder of the system, Mikao Usui Sensei. Not only that, the GRK also includes training in some of the esoteric “mikkyo” meditations and practices that Usui-Sensei learned and practiced as an ordained member of the Japanese Tendai school. These powerful meditations, like the gachirinkan, ajikan, and goshimbo were never passed on by Usui-sensei as a part of his “Reiki System” – but learning and practicing them helped empower and strengthen his connection to the energy of Reiki, and we’re excited to share them with you!
